I am rooting my N910c XME to the following date whereas my phone date is 2014-11-20

I waited a long time but there is no sign of OTA appearing. I downloaded the zip file from sammobile and waiting for 80 percent charge. Did a backup too. My question is it safe? and will get updates in the near future or do I have to go through this process once more? Please help me asap :) Thanks!
